Imprint, data, and image rights.

This page consolidates the legal information required under Austrian law (Offenlegung / Impressum, DSGVO information, TKG 2021) and the image rights policy for the AI for Critical Assets Hackathon, 25–26 September 2026 in Linz.

Legal Notice (Impressum / Offenlegung)

Young AI Leaders Linz — Verein zur Förderung von Künstlicher Intelligenz in Oberösterreich

A registered Austrian non-profit association (Verein) based in Linz, Upper Austria. Contact: office@youngaileaderslinz.at.

Registered office / postal address: c/o LIT Open Innovation Center, Altenberger Straße 69, 4040 Linz, Austria.

Additional office: c/o AI:AT AI Factory Austria, Karl-Farkas-Gasse 22, 1030 Vienna, Austria.

Purpose of the association: promotion of Artificial Intelligence in Upper Austria — including youth-led education, research, events, and partnerships with public institutions, universities, industry and international initiatives.

The event is co-organized by Adam Lea-Bischinger together with Young AI Leaders Linz.

Privacy Policy (DSGVO)

We process personal data only as necessary for our activities (event registration, partnership and contact inquiries) and under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO / GDPR).

Email correspondence we receive is retained for up to six (6) months and then deleted unless an ongoing matter requires longer retention.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time via office@youngaileaderslinz.at.

Event registration & applications — privacy notice

When you register or apply to take part in the hackathon, we process the details you submit, any links or materials you provide, your team information, and the record of the review and confirmation decision. We do this on the legal basis of performing a pre-contractual step at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO).

Categories of data: contact details, application answers, team composition, links to public work, reviewer notes, and the confirmation decision record.

Recipients: members of the organizing team assigned to your application. Registration is handled through Luma, which acts as a separate processor for the registration data you enter there. Beyond that, data is processed only by us and by the infrastructure providers that host and operate this site under data-processing agreements. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

Retention: registration and application records are kept for the duration of the event cycle and deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the event; email correspondence is retained up to 12 months.

Your rights (Art. 15–22 DSGVO): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Request any of these via office@youngaileaderslinz.at.

Right to complain: you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.

Telekommunikationsgesetz (TKG 2021)

Electronic communications from this site (including any newsletters or transactional messages) are sent in accordance with the Austrian Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021 (TKG 2021). We do not send unsolicited commercial communications.

Image rights

Photographs and illustrations on this site are either created by the hub, licensed for our use, or used under credit.

If you believe an image on this site should be credited differently or removed, please contact us at office@youngaileaderslinz.at and we will respond promptly.
